Hector's strong determination kept him on track all his life. He was proud of having worked his way through St. Michael Catholic School and Central Catholic High School. Upon graduating from Central Catholic in 1943, he volunteered for the Army Air Corps. After his military service, he studied at St. Mary's University. Having learned the value of sweat equity from an early age served him well in his position at West Side Bank where he worked as a loan officer for 30 years.
He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, parents, Juan and Amalia Trejo, sister, Delia Rivas. He is survived by children Alfred Luis Trejo, Sonia Trejo Garza (Cruz Lozano Garza), and Debora Trejo Rodriguez (Oscar Rodriguez), grandchildren Sonia Yvette Garza, Mariel Katrina Rodriguez, and Lorena Anissa Rodriguez.
Services Tuesday, February 22, St. Luke Catholic Church, Visitation 9:00am, Rosary 9:30am, Mass 10:00am, interment afterward San Fernando Cemetery #2. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to St. Luke's Senior Ministry.

Hector was a golf buddy for many years. I met him when I moved to San Antonio about 15 years ago and despite being in his late 70's at that time, he still had a great game. He had 25 years on me, but still often beat my score. We played together until he was about 92 when age caught up with his game. Sharp mind. When my wife passed away, we shared stories about our respective spouses. He talked about the love he had for his wife who passed several years before he did. Great sense of humor. Wonderful outlook on life itself. I'll miss his friendship and witty comments. R.I.P. old friend.
