Jacqueline Clarke Obituary

CLARKE
Jacqueline Ann Kurkowski Clarke, age 60, transitioned from this life on Thursday, July 26, 2012 to join In heaven her loving parents Leonard and Yolda Kurkowski, brother John Andrew Kurkowski, and nephew Zachary Jaeckle. She is survived by three younger sisters: Catherine Kurkowski, Charlene Kurkowski, and Cynthia Kurkowski; nephews Matthew Cherry, Brian Kurkowski, and Devon Hahn; and nieces Dori Kurkowski and Jordana Hurst. Jackie was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota on July 3, 1952, and raised in San Antonio where her parents moved when she was a toddler. At age 21, she moved to West Hollywood, California, where she lived and worked as a legal secretary for a well known entertainment lawyer. This position gave her the opportunity to befriend musicians she admired. In 1990, she returned to Central Texas to be near family. Jackie lived life as a free spirit, even moving to Jamaica where she was married briefly to Donny Clarke. She was always so full of life. Though some of her actions surprised or even shocked people, she was fearless in her courage to do what she wanted and enjoyed her passion for music, art, animals and world culture. She loved her oil painting and gardening. In keeping with Jackie's wishes, there will be no funeral or public memorial service. Those wishing to honor her memory are welcome to make a contribution in Ms. Clarke's name to the Southwest Division of the American Liver Foundation or to the San Antonio Humane Society. For personal acknowledgment you may sign the guest book at www.missionparks.com in the obituary section.

A great smile and twinkles in her eyes,
that somehow could be seen, over the miles...and even from a distance could be felt. As I know Jackie, she will always be here, in my heart. Love to our family "free spirit" and thank you for all your honesty in who you really are, Jackie, and how you treated people. And yes, I do mean "are", as you always will be in my heart.

Marcia and I will love you forever !

God needed that great smile in heaven, and didn't want to wait any longer! The angels needed help...

Jackie bravely left us to soon. I am so glad we were able to say our goodbyes before she left. She was a beautiful person inside and out. We are blessed to have known her. I am sure it was a happy reunion seeing all our relatives who went before her. She is now at peace. My condolences to her sisters and other family members. May God be with you.
