James Kuehl Obituary

KUEHL
James E. (Buck) Kuehl, Sr., born May 10, 1929, went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. Proceeded in death by his parents, Lee and Ethel Kuehl of Waco, Texas. James was a devoted, loving, caring, and gentle son, husband, father, and grandfather. He was passionate about family, fishing, tennis, and sports in general. He was born and raised in the Waco, Texas area, attended Baylor University and was a life-long supporter. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He joined the Masonic Lodge in Corpus Christi, Texas later becoming an active member of the Alzafar Shrine in San Antonio, Texas. James was also an active member of the San Antonio Lions Club and various other community organizations. After working for Moore Business Forms for 35 years, James retired and moved to his life-long dream home at Canyon Lake, Texas. He is Survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Jo; 3 children: James E. Kuehl Jr and wife Jackie; Mark S. Kuehl and wife Libby; and Margie Kuehl Gautier and husband Terry along with his 5 treasured grandchildren: Trey Kuehl, Ryan Kuehl, Katie Kuehl, Maddie Gautier and Bud Gautier and 3 great-grandchildren; also his dear sister, Jean Goldsmith and husband Larry and little brother, Kenneth and wife Eunise, along with nieces and nephews. Clay Dewees, pastor and friend, will preside over the services at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park, 2951 State Hwy 46 South, New Braunfels, TX 78130, Monday, December 20th at 2:00 P.M. In memory of Jim, please make contributions to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers.
