James Rickerson Obituary
James Adam Rickerson, Jr. passed away in the arms of our Lord on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the age of 82. He was born on April 9, 1936 in Birmingham, Alabama to James Rickerson and Mary Dean Johnson Rickerson.
James is preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Dean Rickerson; daughter- in-law, Carmen Rickerson. He is survived by his wife, Ruby Rickerson; daughters, Dr. Vicky Rickerson, Rhonda Walker (Ronny), Cheryl Hess (Jimmy), Angeline Newsham, Yolanda Williams (Steven); son, Rick Rickerson (Debra); grandchildren, Candice Ryan Scott, DaMonique Davis, Jacob Hess, James Rickerson IV, Bryan Rickerson, Brianna Davis, Danielle Newsham, Nicolas Newsham, Benito Yruegas; great-grandchildren, Robin Ruby Melissa Scott and Robert Scott, Jr.
A visitation will begin on Sunday, September 16, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Castle Ridge Mortuary, 8008 W. Military Drive, San Antonio, Texas, 78227. Funeral service will be held on Monday, September 17, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church, 227 Acme Rd., San Antonio, Texas, 78237. Interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m.

My heartfelt condolences go to the Rickerson Family. God bless you all. Back in 1969 and 1970, I was stationed with then Lieutenant James Rickerson at Perrin Air Force Base outside of Sherman/Denison, Texas. He was an Air Force Security Police officer and my supervisor. Lieutenant Rickerson was a fine officer, a great supervisor, and a good family man. Rest in peace, Sir.
