Janis Kay Rose passed away on December 3, 2024. She was born on February 7, 1951, in Silver City, NM. She graduated from Del Valle High School in Austin in 1969 and then relocated to San Antonio. Throughout those years she enjoyed her friends, her various jobs, her property, and the many animals that she nurtured and loved. She was preceded in death by her mother Virginia Houser and her father Bill Phifer. Survivors include her sisters, Vicki Stringer Bales and husband Steve; her nephew Ryan Bales and wife Romney; niece, Dusti Bales Gillis, and husband Tyler; her great nieces and nephews, Valle, Gunner, Rylee, and Brady; and her brother Danny Houser and wife Ruth. A celebration of life will be held at Christian Family Baptist Church on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 10:30 am, 1589 Grosenbacher Rd, San Antonio, TX, 78245.

She loved her animals! We were friends for many years. Lots of good memories and many good laughs!
So glad she is finally at peace! Condolences to her family.
