It's been years- a decade, actually, since I saw you last. I was put in your class as a freshman because none of my other elective choices had available space. It was the best thing to ever happen for me in school. You were always so fun and energetic. I never cared about theater until you taught me about it. I sat in your classroom with you after hours, just because I had so much fun talking to you. You took me on a field trip that I wasn't even supposed to go on because you knew how much I cared, and you cared enough about me to let me come. You let me cry to you about my family and my living conditions. You were more than just a teacher to me. I miss you so, so much. I regret not coming to visit you after I graduated. Life got busy, and I always intended to come back and see you, but I missed my chance.
Thank you for everything you ever did for me and for other students. You were a lovely person, and even now, know that your students loved you and miss you. I hope that, wherever you might be now, you're happy and free. I like to think that. Rest easy.

Ms. Friedrich, I miss you so much. I regret not having seen you as much as I should've after I graduated, I just thought we had more time. You were a second parent to so many students, but I know in my heart that you were truly the mother that I was meant to FIND on this earth. The grief comes in waves, and sometimes its so heavy it feels like I will never move again. But I do. And in that way I try to just appreciate the person you wanted me to be-- disciplined and strong enough to go forward. I think about you every day. I hope someday it hurts less. I keep you in my prayers even though I haven't believed in God for quite some time. It helps to think of your life as having changed, not ended. So you're really still here to me. I miss you.

May she rest in peace with Jesus. I met Jennifer when she worked with my daughter, Amy, as theater teachers. She was warm and friendly to my husband and I. We attended most of the plays at school and enjoyed the great shows the talented children would put on knowing how much their teachers worked with them. Our sympathy to her family, may God give them strength and His loving care during this sad time.

Darrell, Please accept my deepest sympathy and know that my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time of loss. While Jennifer`s passing deeply saddens me, I`m pleased to learn that she had the opportunity to share her extensive knowledge of the theatrical world with so many young people through her employment at John Paul Stevens High School. I can think of no job more fulfilling than that. She will live on through her students.

Jennifer Friedrich was one of a kind. She was a very influential mentor and friend helping me in any way she could. Because of her, I am a better teacher. She taught me to always give my family and kids (students) all that I can. She was selfless and inspired countless people to brighten their futures. She will be missed, but never forgotten. May her memory live always in our hearts to remind us that we can always strive to do our bests. Rest In Peace my friend.
