Jerome "Jerry" Dresner, age 78, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. Jerry was born on October 18, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan, to parents, Billie and Jerome Rothenburg. Upon the unexpected passing of his biological father early in life, Jerry was adopted by his loving stepfather Morris Dresner and was the only son in a family of five children. Jerry joined the Army at the age of 17 and trained and traveled as a medic. After a medical discharge, he worked in real estate throughout the majority of his career. Jerry had a disciplined, self-motivated work ethic and instilled values of trying your best in life. He had a natural curiosity about the world around him, an incisive sense of humor, and started conversations with strangers wherever he went. Jerry loved fishing, reading, and visiting museums to view antiquities. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Paula. Jerry is survived by his loving son, Jason; daughter-in-law Jodi; former spouse and dear friend, Tere; sisters Barbara, Gail and Marjorie; mother-in-law, Teresita Martin; siblings-in-law Mike, Frank, Ken, Ana, Lilia and Sergio; and numerous friends and family members.

Rabbi Lisa Goldstein will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery.
