It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that our beloved father, brother, uncle and friend Jesse A. Zamarron entered eternal rest on January 22, 2021 at the age of 68. Jesse was born on November 22, 1952 in San Antonio, Texas to Jesus and Lillian (Trejo) Zamarron.
He is preceded in death by his parents; He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer VonAllmen (Michael); son, Jesse Michael Zamarron (Christina); siblings; Rita Mata, Aurelio Zamarron; Moses Zamarron, Adela Affeldt, and Daniel Zamarron; grandchildren, Samantha, Bruce, and Kara VonAllmen, Diana and Evangelynn Zamarron; numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family members and friends.
Jesse proudly served in the US Air Force for 16 years and retired from the military in the Army reserves serving a total of 24 years. He then continued serving our community as a Deputy Sheriff with the Bexar County Sheriff's Office for over 23 years. Of all the places he was stationed and traveled to San Antonio was always home and he loved his city.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 3:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dominick's Catholic Church. Interment with military honors will follow at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South.
In accordance with CDC safety precautions, everyone is required to wear a mask and practice social distancing in the chapel and at the cemetery.
There will be a 75 person maximum allowed in the chapel and 125 person maximum at the church, due to the limited capacity the rosary for Mr. Zamarron will be live-streamed.
Family and friends are also welcomed to view the rosary from their vehicles on the theatre screen in our parking lot. We thank you in advance.
