Mr. Beal never met a stranger. He was always kind and caring to everyone of all ages. He will always be Mr. Beal to me, as I met him when I was in elementary school at St. Paul's Lutheran. May Jim, Jeff and your families find the peace that passes all understanding during this time and find solace in knowing that Mr. Beal is in a better place.
May he rest in peace,

Mr. Beal was a lifelong friend of my Dad and became a great friend and mentor to me. I will miss him here at the San Pedro building where he worked on the Talking Books. Mr. Beal was such a kind soul. He was a true friend of my Dad and stuck by him throughout his illness. After Dad passed, Mr. Beal would come by my office to make sure that I was doing alright and would always leave me with a fond memory or a good laugh. My family and I offer our sincere condolences to Mr. Beal's family. He was a great man, a true friend to many, and one of "Pioneers" of AT&T. He will be sorly missed. God Bless.

After reading Mr. Beal's obituary, there is no doubt his great legacy will live on in his son Jeff's family. It is evident why they continue to be a shining light in their community. Having known Blair and Zach as my former students, I can see in them deeply-rooted values of love for family and faith. May God continue to bless Mr. Jim Beal's family members and friends now and in the days ahead.

Our sincere condolences to the Beal family on the Jim's passing. We knew him for some forty years as the next door neighbor of our sister, Margaret Bahan, and as another grandpa to Michael & Courtney. Jim was as kind and likeable a person as you could hope to meet and I know he will be missed by his family, as well as any one who knew him. God bless and comfort all of you.

A great man. Epitome of man of faith and served as a mentor to many. A true "telephone company" man and always ready to lend a hand to those in need via the Telephone Pioneers. Rest in peace my friend.

Great memories with "Mr. Beal" as we addressed him in my growing up years in the 60's and 70's with Jeff and Mt Calvary Lutheran Church. Mr. Beal was the epitome of a Christian man and someone I admired just like my dad.
