Joanne Powell Obituary

Joanne Powell, 68, a life long resident of San Antonio, Texas passed away Wednesday November 07, 2007 in her home in San Antonio. She was born June 05, 1939 in Aubrey, Texas to Henry Hoarce Odom and Margie Jane Walters Odom. On June 23, 1956 Joanne Odom and Melvin Powell were married in San Antonio, Texas where they made their home. She was a member of the Mayfield Park Baptist Church where she retired as the church secretary. She is survived by three daughters, Robbie Anglin and husband John of Parachute, CO, Cindi Nelson and husband Jim of San Antonio, Bettye Powell of San Antonio, TX. Eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one brother, and six sisters. She was preceded in death by her husband Melvin Powell, her parents, one daughter, Pam Dunman, one brother Henry Odom, two sisters, Claudia Wright and Wanda Wood. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, November 11, 2007 at 3:30 at Mayfield Park Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas. The family will receive friends at Mayfield Park Baptist Church in San Antonio, Texas at 2:00 till time of the service. Interment will be held Monday, November 12, 2007 at 2:30 at the Richland Springs City Cemetery in Richland Springs, Texas. HOWELL-DORAN FUNERAL HOME San Saba, TX 76877 (325) 372-3923
