Joe Mark Rodriguez, born in San Antonio, TX went to be with our lord on June 20th, 2021. Joe was 71 years old and passed away while at home with his family by his side. He is predeceased by his parents Miriam & Joe and his grandson Xavier Ray. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary whom he loved with every sense of their being. They were married in San Antonio, TX on December 10, 1972. He is lovingly Remembered by his children, Jennifer, Debbie, Paul, Joe, Kayla, Orlando, Victor, Michael, Lolita, Larry & grandchildren Johnny Ray, Grayson Drake, Jayden , and Brentley. He has 5 sisters, Pauline, Josie, Irene, Janet, Jackie and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Joe graduated from Edgewood High School in 1970. Joe served in the US Army for over 22 years. Though he was best known as a Vietnam vet and a recruiter, his greatest accomplishment was his family. He loved them all with his whole heart and soul. He instilled his love, hard-work ethic and faith in all of us to carry on. Joe loved to go fishing and taking out his boat, BBQ'ing with family and friends and his favorite holidays., Halloween and Christmas. The visitation will be held at The Shrine of Rememberance, 1730 East Fountain Blvd C/S, Co 80910 on Wednesday, July 7th, 2021 from 3pm-5pm. A mass will be held at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 5354 US-85, Colorado Springs, Co 80911 on Thursday, July 8th, 2021 at 10am. Burial will follow at Pikes Peak National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, family would appreciate donations to be made to the Disabled American Veterans (DAV). Condolences for the family may be offered through mail to Shrine of Remembrance
