John Forgy Obituary
He was born in San Antonio on October 1, 1940. He graduated from Alamo Heights High School in 1958, and then later graduated from the University of Texas at Austin.
For many years, John worked with his father at Forgy Construction Company in San Antonio. John was very proud to have served as the President of the San Antonio chapter of The Associated General Contractors of America from 1982 to 1983.
John lived most of his life in the Alamo Heights area. He was a man of great caring and deep faith in Christ.
John is survived by his daughter and son in law (Anita and Chip Bohls), brother (Ray Forgy), half sister (Catherine Smith), and former wife (Beatrice Solar Forgy).
A brief graveside service will be held at Sunset Memorial on Austin Highway on Thursday July 21, 2022 at 10:30am, followed by a Celebration of Life at Paloma Blanca in Alamo Heights. Please make a donation to your favorite charity in lieu of flowers.

Anita, I am sorry for your loss. Your daddy was a unique individual who contributed much to making life interesting. Our conversations never ended without me learning something unexpected. I always enjoyed joining John and Dee at the office around Christmas time for bit of holiday socializing. I am sad to miss the celebration of John's life but my recent bout with Covid will prevent me from joining the celebration.

I´m so sorry to hear of Johns passing. I´ve known him for 20 years and would run into him at H-E-B so often that he would joke that I was stalking him. We would always talk for a bit to get caught up. He was always interested in my travels. I will miss our run in´s.
