John Jory Obituary

JORY
John William Jory Jr., 84, died peacefully in the arms of his beloved wife on Saturday, December 06, 2009. John was a life-long resident of San Antonio. Mr. Jory honorably served in the United States Navy during WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Sr. and Luz De La Pena. He is survived by his loving wife, Guadalupe Pacheco Jory; children, Patsy Jory Scott and husband George (Austin, TX), John W. Jory III and wife Catherine (Houston, TX); step-children, Stella Bradfute and husband Edward and Jesus Rios and wife Ruby Gaitan; 11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 08, 2009 at Roy Akers Funeral Home, and a Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 09, 2009 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church, 1710 Clower. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery II. I am so sorry for the loss of Grandpa Jory. I am very blessed that I got to meet him and all of the family at the birthday party in San Antonio. GOD bless you always. My prayers are with you and all the family. ALL MY LOVE, LOU JO JORY
