Hello,
We wanted to let you know that we will be honoring and remembering your loved one this holiday season. We are sending Care Packages to our deployed troops in his name. Each package will carry the name, photo, service branch, rank and hometown of Jorge Villarreal Jr. Us Marine Corporal.
We realize that this is a small tribute, but we do this with all respect and sincerity and we want you to know that it is made possible by thousands of like-minded individuals from across the American youth hockey community, our family, friends and many others who support our mission.
We will not forget. May God Bless you and keep you safe and strong.
Sincerely,

Dear Villarreal Family and Friends:
Please accept my most profound sympathies on the loss of CPL. Jorge Villarreal, Jr, who died in service of his country on October 17, 2010. There are never any right words to express how deeply sad I am for the pain your family is enduring at this difficult time.
Although I did not have the honor and pleasure of knowing him, as Chair of the Senate Committee on Veteran Affairs and Military Installations, I would like you to know that I am sincerely thankful for your family's deep sense of patriotism, selflessness, and sacrifice you have made on behalf of this great nation.
He will be dearly missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him. May God give you and yours strength and courage. May the love and the wonderful memories you shared with him help you when you need it most. Please know that he will never be forgotten and your family will be remembered in my prayers.

To The Villarreal Family, my most heartfelt and deepest sympathy on the loss of your precious Jorge. What an extremely handsome young man he was and will always be. Words can not express the gratitude and appreciation I have for him as he gave the ultimate sacrifice to serve this nation, our country so that we are free to do, speak and live as free as flying birds. Jorge will always be young and handsome and while you will not feel the warmth of flesh against yours, you will feel the warmth of his soul in your hearts. His memory will surely live on in each of you and those memories are priceless. May God be with each of you as walk this painful road of mourning and know that all of Texas and especially the beautiful city of San Antonio mourns with you.

I am the head football coach at Broadway High School, located in Virginia. Each week this season, our football team will play in honor of a fallen soldier. This week, we will be playing for Jorge. Our team considers this a great honor. Jorge's acts of bravery deserve a fitting tribute. Our players will play very hard tonight and we hope to make Jorge and his family proud. Dear Villarreal family,
I know there are no words to say at this time, except how sorry that I am. I truly feel your loss and pain. My thoughts and prayers are with you always. Jorge will never be forgotten.
For you every single soldier
Those who served so honorable
Your life was forever altered
While I’m home safe and free
I stand with grateful admiration
I stand respectful and so proud
I know I’m only a civilian
And I don’t even know if it’s allowed
But I salute you; allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
Even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
My humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you.
For those missing in action;
for those who didn’t make it home.
I know you’re in God’s presence you are not alone.
For every neatly folded flag;
for every shattered family
I will do the only thing I know to dignify your memory.
I salute you, allow me the honor
to salute you with permission let me say
even though I hold no rank know that from my heart
my humble gratitude comes from the deepest part.
I salute you .

The Final Salute
“Brothers in Arms”, Military men and women down through the centuries, have traditionally exchanged “Hand Salutes” as a sign of recognition and as a way to render courtesy and respect one to another.
This “Hand Salute” is the last that we shall render to Marine Jorge Villarreal our Brother in Arms. To his family it symbolizes the love and respect that we have for Jorge. And to Jorge it is rendered as a symbol of honor and gratitude to thank him for the ultimate sacrifice he made for his country while opposing enemy forces in Afghanistan. No greater love is shown than a man lay down his life for another. Jorge, you are a brave Marine Warrior, a true Patriot and a national Hero. With your passing, our Country has lost a National Treasure. We bid you a sad farewell. You will be dearly missed from among our ranks. Be at ease. Rest in Peace.
On behalf of the 1,335 Legionnaire Veterans of Lowe-McFarlane Post 14 of the American Legion in Shreveport, Louisiana, I extend our sympathies and our condolences to Jorge’s family and loved ones. Semper Fi !
