Jose Loredo Obituary

Jose Loredo passed away February 5, 2008 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 82. He was born on March 24, 1925 in Southbend, Texas. Mr. Loredo went to high school at Weslaco High School and at the age of 17 enlisted in the United States Navy during World War II and attained the rank of Petty Officer Third Class. During his time in the Navy, from 1943-1946, he served as an Aviation Machinist. After being discharged from his duty station - Corpus Christi Naval Air Station - he became a soft line salesman in Weslaco, Texas and performed in this capacity from 1946 until the latter part of 1952. Mr. Loredo then moved to Crystal City, Texas where he was the proprietor of a general merchandise store from 1958 until 1963. After leaving this career path, he went on to San Antonio, where he devoted 18 years of his experience to Sears-Roebuck and Co. as a retail salesman. Mr. Loredo is survived by his second wife, Verna Loredo; sons, Santiago N. (Matilde T.) Loredo & Joe Arthur (Gloria A.) Loredo; daughters, Amelia Rodriguez & Leticia (James) Pavlovsky; 3 step-children from his current marriage; brother, Santiago Loredo; half-brother, Arthuro Loredo; half-sisters, Dibima Hernandez, Josefina Sanchez, & Isabel Flores; grandchildren, Monica Huerta, Xavier Loredo, Rogelio Loredo, Jessica Loredo, Claudia Brown, Christina Moreno, Fred Rodriguez, Rita Norton, Evin Pavlovsky, Nicole Pavlovsky, Christine Pavlovsky, Catherine Pavlovsky; great-grandchildren, Anysia Huertz & Leah Huerta, Tanner Brown, Gunner Brown, Landon Brown, Ella Moreno, Jacky Valdez, Candice Valdez, & Samantha Valdez, and Ethan Rodriguez and numerous other loving relatives. He is preceded in death by by his first wife, Candelaria Naranjo Loredo and parents, Frutoso & Francisca Loredo. The visitation for Mr. Loredo will begin on February 7, 2008 from 5 pm until 9 pm at Brookehill Funeral Home with a rosary to be recited at 7 pm. The funeral service will be held on February 8, 2008 at 10 am at Brookehill Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow in San Jose Burial Park. Loredo Family: My deepest sympathy go out to your family. I just found out today of Mr. Loredo's passing. I don't know how I missed the obit or how I didn't hear about it. None the less, I'm sure wonderful memories of him will last in your heart forever.
