Joseph Daniel Manak, a proud grandfather, father, and devoted husband, of Hunt, Texas, passed away on February 21, 2012 at his home in Hunt. Joe was born in Houston to Joe J. Manak and Amalie Manak of Sealy on January 30, 1947. Joe was married to Brenda on October 26, 1985 in San Felipe, Texas. Joe went to Spring Branch High School in Houston. He graduated from Trinity University in San Antonio. Joe worked in sales at SCP Pool Corp for 15 years. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Joe J. Manak and Amalie Manak. Joe is survived by his wife, Brenda; his son, Kyle Manak of Austin; daughter, Lee Murray of Bastrop; sister, JoAnn Tinney and husband, Gary of Frisco, Texas; brother, Larry Manak and wife, Lydia of The Woodlands, Texas. Joe has three grandchildren, Ashley Murray, McKenzie Manak, and Jayden Manak. Visitation will be 5-7 PM on Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Grimes Funeral Chapels in Kerrville, Texas with a private Rosary following the visitation. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 AM on Friday, February 24, 2012 at Grimes Funeral Chapels with Ulysses Flores officiating. Burial will follow at Lakeland Hills Cemetery in Burnet, Texas at 3 PM. Pallbearers will be Kyle Manak, Larry Manak, Russell Donham, Gary Tinney, Al Lang, and Dave Scoggins. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, 8115 Datapoint Dr., San Antonio, Texas, 78229.
