Josephine Williams Obituary

WILLIAMS
Josephine (Jo) M. Williams was born August 17, 1917, in Naco, Arizona, and died October 12, 2009. Jo, the eldest daughter of Col. J.K. Fair and wife of SMS Orrin R. Williams, enjoyed living in many places in this country and the world. She and Rolland retired in San Antonio in 1966 and here she made and enjoyed many friends. She was an active member of the Windcrest United Methodist Church and the San Antonio Garden Club. O.R. died in 2005 after 64 years of marriage. She is preceded in death by brothers Jo K. Fair and Harold Fair and sister June McMillin. She is survived by her sisters Jacqueline Hamblen and Jeannette Vanderburg, her sons David (wife Nora) and Daniel (Penny). Her grandsons are Ben (wife Bethany and children Gavin and Meredith), Ashley, and Sean. The family extends thanks and appreciation to Vilma Stolze and her staff at the Woodcrest Home for their loving care. Memorial Services will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 9:45 A.M., Monday, October 26, 2009. Please go to www.colonialfuneralhm.com to leave condolences. My Aunt Josephine.....the matriarch of the Fair Family will be missed dearly. I have so many fond memories of her and am so grateful to have had her in my life.
