My thoughts and prayers are with Mrs. Heaton's family. Mrs. Heaton was my History Teacher. She had such a lovely smile. She made such a difference in my life, as I thought about her even just a few weeks ago.

The name "Joy" was so fitting. Her smiling face at San ANtonio Retired Teachers was something that I always will remember. She was a devoted member of that organization.

Joy's name was perfect for her because she was always cheerful and pleasant to be around. She will be so missed. Condolences and God's comfort to her family.

Joy was a wonderful neighbor to our family for many years. I have been lucky to call her and Burl our next door neighbors for two years. My daughters will very much miss seeing her on the way to the bus stop and I will miss chatting with her over the fence. She adored her family and was especially proud of her grandson, Cody's accomplishments. Many prayers and love to Amy, Burl and family.

Joy and Burl took me along on family trips for years as they camped around Texas with daughter Amy. Joy was always so much fun to be around and encouraged us to read on long road trips. I still have a great love of reading today and remember her fondly through my teen years for her humor and her love of dogs.

She and Burl stood up for me when I joined Northern Hills UMC on November 10, 2002. They're special folks! Our church family was richer for having her. Love & blessings for her and family.
