Joyce Kay Rivers, age 82, peacefully entered eternal rest on November 16, 2023. Born on January 22, 1941, in Kokomo, Indiana, she was the cherished daughter of Carl and Mabel Harrison.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Joyce's departure has left a profound void in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have shared in her life's journey.
Joyce is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Donald D. Rivers, and their children: Merry Ellen Garcia (Mark), Jonathan Rivers (Rebecca), Jeffery Rivers (Janet), and Daniel Rivers (Rachel). Her memory is also honored by her grandchildren: Christopher Gutierrez, Andrew Garcia, Jonathan Rivers, Alexander Rivers, Andrea Medlin, Natalie Rivers, Kayla Garcia, Noelle Rivers, Naomi Rivers, Jessica Zimmerman, Dexter Wallingsford, Madison Wallingsford, along with numerous nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, and friends.
Joyce is now reunited with her parents, Carl T. Harrison and Mabel I. Harrison, her sister Virginia Holsten, her brothers Donald Harrison, Jack Harrison, Richard Harrison, Kenneth Harrison, and her grandchild Lancaster Rivers.
Visitation to celebrate Joyce's life will be held on Monday, November 27, 2023, at Hope Center Church from 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at Mission Burial Park South.
