Hello my name is Andres Julian Rodriguez AKA Andrew, and I'm Julian's grandson, and Julie's youngest son. It was very hard to see my grandpa finally rest. I was so used to him being with Gloria. I'm just happy that my grandpa is making my dad laugh up there in heaven with his jokes. Since I was young I remember my grandpa playing his guitar and i still remember the passion in his eyes as he played. i wish i had the voice and gift for music as my grandpa did but it missed me, i do love to listen to all types of music and think i get that from my grandpa. I find myself with my cousins and auntie Brenda every weekend at glorias just talking about old times we had with grandpa, and i love listening to gloria tell us the story on how my grandpa made her fall in with him by them music he played. I'm sad that my grandpa is no longer with us but I'm happy to no longer see him in pain. Aunt Brenda and Gloria i love yall so much, and yall did a great job taking care of grandpa! And dont worry about us grandpa, well be seeing you soon.

Love
Andres Julian Rodriguez

your grandson.

I know you are walking now in the clouds. I miss you more and more every day. Even more than words could say. Don't worry about Gloria I will look after her as I looked out for you Dad. Gloria, I am sorry for your loss. I will always remember how much fun the three of us had, you, me and Julian. He never said, no to us, he was always ready to go and have fun. He kept us laughing with his funny outlook on life. He never had a bad thing to say of anyone. Everywhere we went he was recognized and remembered how well he played his guitar. I always said, he was the best guitarist. You did everything you could to keep him living, but the Lord had other plans for him. He will be missed as a very good man, good friend, and a good family man.

Julian Mercado was a wonderful Father-In-Law. I am married to his daughter Julie Mercado Bonilla. In the short 15 years that I knew Julian I learned valuable lessons from him. I learned the love for life itself. Julian was full of life and always turned a bad situation in to a positive one. Perhaps the most important lesson was, in his own words, “Never fight or stay mad at your family or friends…….this is time wasted and you will never recover it.” How True! Julian, you will be missed dearly.
