Larry Goodman Obituary
Larry Michael Goodman passed away on January 13, 2012, at the age of 52 years after a valiant battle with cancer. He was a loving and caring husband and father. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Alice Van De Walle-Goodman; a daughter, Jessica L. Goodman; and a son, Cody C. Goodman. He is also survived by his mother, Leah Goodman; Sister, Laura Goodman-Lester; nephews: Chris and James, as well as Alice's brother and sisters, numerous nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces, and an enormous number of lifelong friends.

It takes a strong man to battle as long as you did!now you are with the LORD! Dear Alice & Family,
Our thoughts and prayers have been with all of you, daily, as you were at the bedside of such a wonderful man. Although it is never easy to loose such a significant person as Larry was in your lives, it is even more difficult to lose a GOOD-MAN so young in life.
Our prayers will be with you as you adjust to his physical presence being gone; but know that your peace eventually will come thru your memories of him.

Larry, as your name says was a "Goodman". We were team mates at the Woodlawn Little league. You were a great Hitter,Firstbaseman and a powerful pitcher.I will always remember the summer our team traveled to Mexico to play the Mexico All stars. Great times and good memories, The sleep overs we had at your house on Bethany. I also have fond memories of Mrs. Leah Goodman and my mom Tina working the concession stand and Laura and my sister Patsy playing together. My family will keep all the Goodman family in our prayers.

Our prayers are with you and your family. We are especially blessed to have spent time with Larry doing the things he loved to do ... fish. We have many fond memories of him at the beach, in the pool and just sharing life with him. He was so proud of his family. We will miss his friendship and sweet, gentle goodness. I have so many memories of of my friend Larry he was a great friend to all of us who were lucky to have known him , his wonderful wife Alice (my pal al) the kids jess & cody , all of us knew him loved him, and will miss him greatly , and always carry him in our hearts .

Alice, Jessica, Cody, (and other family), my deepest sympathy is extended to you. Larry was such a wonderful person and I consider it an honor to have been his friend. He fought cancer with courage and dignity and was fortunate to have y'all by his side! Larry no longer suffers and can now catch all the fish he ever dreamed of. May your fond memories far outweigh the hurting in your hearts. Love ya!
