Leo Morris Obituary

MORRIS
Leo Anthony Morris, 84, passed from this life on Thursday, December 17, 2009. Born February 6, 1925 in Worchester, Massachusetts to Anthony Benedict Morozaz, an immigrant from Lithuania and Eva Michkewich Morozaz, an immigrant from Poland, Leo was a long time resident of and business owner in San Antonio. Leo grew up through the Great Depression and joined the army at the age of 17 during World War II. He attended the University of Alabama for two years after enlisting and then attended flight school in Biloxi, Mississippi. As a member of the Army Air Corps and later the Air Force, he was stationed in San Antonio and practiced as a gunnery pilot in this area and over Matagorda Island. He was wounded in a crash during this practice and was unable to deploy with his unit before the end of the War. While in San Antonio he met and married Gladys Faye Kyle of Los Fresnos and settled here after his discharge from the service. During his life he worked in his chosen profession of Auto Body repair and owned and operated several businesses in this field. He was renowned for his excellent work and fair dealings. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Faye; three sons, Scott L. Morris and his wife, Linda; Kyle E Morris and his wife, Melissa and Michael A. Morris; grandchildren, Jeffrey Morris, Wesley Morris, Cody Morris, Jamie Morris, Shannon Morris, and Taylor Morris.
May he forever rest in peace and soar with the angels in the skies to which he dreamed of returning.
Visitation will be Monday, December, 21, 2009 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Porter Loring on McCullough Ave.
