Lily Yates Obituary

September 13, 1935 - December 22, 2014
Lily Eileen Yates, born on September 13, 1935, passed peacefully into the arms of her heavenly father, surrounded by family and friends, on December 22, 2014 at the age of 79 in Helotes, TX. She was an active member of the Trinity Grace Fellowship Church and volunteered at the San Antonio Christian Resource Center. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, crossword puzzles, reading the cartoons from the Sunday paper, playing the lotto, which she was quite lucky at, watching Dancing with the Stars and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband, Travis Wade Yates; parents Charlie and Marion George. She is survived by two sons and their spouses, Daniel and Cindy Yates, Richard and Lori Yates; grandchildren, Jessica (Thomas) Esparza, Travis Yates, Danielle Yates, Joshua (Kacy) Yates, Jacqueline Yates, Kaylee Yates, Julie Yates, and Wesley Yates; great grandchildren Layla Esparza and Grayson Yates; nine sisters Ruby, Shirley, Peggy, Eva, Lena, Bette, Jeri, Nora, and Margaret; five brothers Ernie, Norman, David, Ron and Wilfred. A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 27,2014 at Trinity Grace Fellowship Church (6701 Huebner, San Antonio, TX 78238).To leave a note for the family visit meadowlawn.net and select Obituaries.
