Lonnie Springs Obituary
Lonnie Ray Springs went to be with our Lord on January 31, 2013 at the age of 25. He was born on Nov 20, 1987 in San Antonio Tx. He is proceeded in death by his brother Eli Orcasitas. He is loved and will be missed by his daughters: Alexis, Angelina, and Zoey Rae, his mother, Tina Springs, his father, Lonnie Springs Jr., his sisters, Desiree and Destiny Springs. His grandparents, Gene Peche, Dolores Peche, Lonnie Sr. and Lucy Springs and Judith Hernandez. Also, the Ramos Family and the Orcasitas family and numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. Services and Visitation will be held at East Central Assemblies of God Church 1518 Steves Ave. from 5pm to 9 pm with a service at 7pm on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013. Family and friends will meet at the church on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013 at 9 am with a funeral service to begin at 10am. The procession will depart immediately after the service for internment at San Fernando Archdiocese Cemetery III, 1735 Cupples, San Antonio, Tx. 78226. Our most sincere thank you to everyone who has shown us great love and support during this very difficult time.

Lonnie the years have passed so quickly since you left us. You were and are so loved. I could not believe the great number of people at your viewing. So many people held you close to their hearts...so many families and groups wearing their memorialized design of t-shirts in your honor. About a month after you passed I was in my car waiting for the traffic light to change on McCullough & Basse. The car in front of me had a large decal on the rear window that read "RIP Lonnie Ray Springs!" Unbelievable! You could have been a councilman, the mayor...you could have been and done so many good things in your life. This family has truly lost a great spirit in you along the many other beautiful and talented children in this family that have passed since you...Desiree (25) a talented artist and hair stylist, Tito (49) a baker beyond compare, Marshall (24) a very talented artist, your uncle Gino (39) an artist, and musician with a great faith in God. I trust you are all together in heaven dancing in the clouds and making the most of your talents. Our hearts remain forever broken forever. RIP and as your cousin Alex Martinez says in your memorial message...don't forget to leave a light on for us.

My Simple Man Words can never express the pain and sorrow losing you has caused. The bond we had was nothing brand new that went back to our high school/corpus christi times. After 10years of us ending we had started right we left off and that last month that was spent together proves the happiness and love that was there between us. I wouldnt change it for the world!
