Luciano Quintero Obituary
Luciano Edward Quintero entered into Eternal Rest on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the age of 2. He was born in San Antonio, TX on July 24, 2009. Luciano was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandfather, Lawrence Earl McHenry. He is survived by his mother, Samantha Howerton and Carl Balldin; father, Samuel Quintero and Keli Poole; maternal grandparents, Emmett and Debra Howerton; paternal grandparents, Maria and Mark Tellez; paternal grandfather, Hernando Quintero; maternal great-grandmother, Ruth McHenry; paternal great-grandmother, Judy Rojas; aunts and uncles, Christian Quintero, Stephanie and Michael Harral, Christine Howerton, Russell Howerton, Kyle Yates, and Sean Siggins; cousins, Cheyenne Howerton, Abigail Howerton, Christian Harral, Eathan Harral, Mason Harral, Sebastian Garza, Madeleine Garza, and Evangeline Garza. A visitation will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at University Presbyterian Church, 300 Bushnell. Funeral Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. that same day at the church. Hi Lucian, I'm "Miss" Brooke. We never met in person, but I know alot about you that I've learned from your sweet sweet Mommy. She is sharing your memories and your life with the world. You are an amazing little boy and I really wish I could have hugged your little neck and held your little hand. I wish I could kiss those adorable dimples on your cheeks. You have made such a positive impact on so many peoples lives in just your two little years you spent here on earth. My dear grandson, last Saturday you granted me the gift of appearing in my dreams. You flew in your very own airplane, wearing your cap and your monkey backpack. How you loved to fly and I was fortunate to have been able to take you on your first flight to North Carolina. I wanted so very much to show you the world. The first words you would say to me every time I came to pick you up for the weekend or when we spoke on the phone were: "Airplane Nana?" I believe the purpose of your flight into my dreams was to allow me to give you lots of hugs and kisses; I miss them so... and to reassure me and your mommy and daddy that you are safe and happy. I apologize for smothering you with lots of hugs and kisses and taking in that sweet scent so unique of my Principito. I knew I would not get that opportunity again any time soon. I told you I was heartbroken and missed you immensely. You responded: "I sorry Nana." But what comforted me most was knowing you were happy and still with us. We said our good-byes and you jumped into your colorful little airplane and waved good-bye until you disappeared into the clouds. I did not want to wake up from this beautiful dream, but I was grateful because you brought joy and peace to my heart.

I am so sorry for your loss dear parents and at a loss for words of comfort other than he is in a good place although it is not for us to understand why or how his time was chosen, only for God to know.
