Manuela Davila Obituary
Manuela G. Davila, born on January 14, 1918, passed away on August 2, 2009, at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her husband, Delfino Davila; son, Ricardo Davila; sisters, Eloisa Gonzales and Theresa Roman. Survivors include her sons, Roy G. Davila, Rudy Davila, and Ruben Davila; brother, Alvino Gonzales; sister, Corina Rodriguez; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank all of the staff at San Jose Nursing Center for their special care of Manuela in her last days. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at the Castillo Mission Funeral Home, from 1:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. The funeral procession will depart the funeral home on Thursday, August 6, 2009, at 9:30 AM for a 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mission Espada Cemetery. Services under the direction of:

Dear Roy, Rudy and Ruben: I wanted to express my sympathy on the loss of your mother (my aunt). I just received word yesterday (August 4) that your mother had passed away. I will not be able to attend her funeral and that makes me very sad because I would like to pay my respects to your family. Since all of you live in San Antonio please keep a watch on our remaining relatives Uncle Pin and Aunt Corine. I will certainly add your mother to our prayers at church.
