Maria Munoz Obituary

Maria Elena Munoz, age 67, passed away Sunday, October 14, 2001. Mrs. Munoz was a kind and giving person, not only with her family, but also with friends. She was an avid Bingo player at Callaghan Bingo and at Circus Bingo. She enjoyed sewing and spending time with her family. Mrs. Munoz is survived by her husband, Carlos L. Munoz, Sr.; seven daughters, Maria Elena and husband Richard Mancillas, Dominga Munoz, Diana Munoz, Irene Munoz, Roxanne Munoz, Dora Munoz and husband Joe Mendez, and Veronica Munoz and husband Jesse Elizondo; four sons, Carlos M. Munoz, Jr. and wife Mary Ann, Ricardo Munoz and wife Cecilia, Antonio Munoz, and Alfredo Munoz; 25 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Richard Garces and Jimmy Garces; numerous nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Steven Esquivel. Visitation will be held from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. with a Vigil Service scheduled for 7:00 P.M., Tuesday at Sunset Northwest Chapel. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, October 17, 2001 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church of Helotes, TX. Interment will follow at San Fernando Cemetery No. 1. Sunset Funeral Home Northwest.
