Mariana Jimenez Obituary

MARIANA NOEL JIMENEZ
December 25, 1989 - December 14, 2025
Heaven gained another angel on Sunday, December 14, 2025. MariAna Noel Jimenez succumbed to colon cancer at the young age of 35. She was born on Christmas Day 1989 in San Antonio. She is preceded in death by her grandfathers Enrique D. Jimenez and Arnoldo C. Gutierrez, grandmother Lucy S. Gutierrez, great aunts Angela X Schueler and Rosa Elena Clark, great uncle Doug Wehrman, uncle Rene C. Jimenez, and the 300 pound gang: Lola, Duke, and Bella.

MariAna spent her childhood playing soccer, doing gymnastics, enjoying Girl Scouts, and participating in swim team while attending Castle Hills Elementary. She lived in Miami, Florida for middle school where she learned to play the trumpet and returned to San Antonio for high school. She played freshman softball and was a proud member of the Robert E Lee Color Guard. She earned her high school diploma in 2008. After a brief stint at SAC and working for the family business, Ximenes & Associates, she found her passion for hair styling. She completed her course work at the Aveda Institute and began her career at Visible Changes. She was a dedicated employee and consummate professional. MariAna was a distinguished employee and rose to a management position before returning to the clippers and dedicating her talent to being a barber. She worked at Bad Beat Barber Shop at Rounders, Henley's, The Room Men's Grooming in Boerne, and opened her own shop in early March 2025, a week before her diagnosis.

MariAna was an amazing mother and a great friend. She was committed and fiercely loyal to her family and friends. Her sweet disposition was matched by her beautiful loving spirit, honesty, and selfless nature. She loved dancing, partying, and cooking with friends and family. She enjoyed reality tv, shopping, and spending time with her daughter and her dogs.

She is survived by her daughter Scarlette Vela (Felix Vela father), her mother Sonia Jimenez, grandmother Linda Ximenes, uncle Rick Jimenez, aunts Laura Vasquez, Alexis Davila (Omar), and Nelda Jean Castaneda (David); Analisa Jimenez, Marc Vasquez, and numerous generations of other cousins. Great aunts and uncles Rose X Wehrman, Theresa X and Gary Poenisch, Ana Maria and Eduardo Bermea and Gloria Y Diego, and her faithful pup, Draco. She also leaves behind an incredible group of friends who provided love and support throughout her life and cancer journey. Many thanks to Dr Mavoram and the Oncology San Antonio team and extreme gratitude to the ICU team at Methodist Northeast for the care and compassion during her last hours on earth. In lieu of flowers, contributions to The Scarlette Trust are very much appreciated. Trust contributions may be sent to 138 Green Meadow, San Antonio 78213. Services will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at 3 pm at Porter Loring McCullough followed by a Celebration of Life at Tandem Coffee Shop. Memories can be posted, and more information can be found at www.porterloring.com.
