Martha Mandujano Obituary

MANDUJANO
Beloved mother, sister and friend, Martha Ramirez Mandujano passed away peacefully on Saturday June 8, 2013, at the age of 59. Martha was to Juan and Hermila Ruiz Ramirez on January 23, 1954, in Mc Allen, TX. She is preceded in death by her father, brothers Ramiro and Herman. Martha is survived by her beloved sons Nathan and Christopher Mandujano, her mother Hermila, her sisters Edna (Alex), Rebecca, Ann, Selina, Monica (James), her brothers Richard (Sally), Jesse (Yolanda), Roy, and numerous nieces and nephews. Martha will be missed beyond that of what mere words can express. She loved her family and always made a special point of attending birthdays, graduations and family barbeques even when she felt bad. Martha loved working in the pathology lab for over 35 years both in Texas and Georgia. She was an active member in the American Society for Clinical Pathology. Martha loved learning and attending continuing education all across the country. She felt her work in the lab made a difference in people's lives. Her dedication and work ethics were beyond reproach despite her illness. Martha grew up a competitor on the softball field and in life. She loved a bargain more than most, and was extraordinarily gifted and getting double and triple coupons. Martha was fiercely independent and head strong. Qualities we loved most of the time. She loved the few months she drove that candy apple red mustang we all tried to talk her out of! Her beautiful genuine smile, laugh and kind demeanor will be missed by all that she touched in this world. In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks that you make a donation to the American Cancer Society in her honor. https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate/otherwaystogive/donate-by-mail-or-phone

Martha, my life-long friend. I am so blessed to have had the opportunity to see you before you passed on to the angels. I would like to thank Edna, Alex, and Blandina for searching for me and finding me.
Martha and I had some great times playing softball, volleyball, and ping-pong. Many a holiday, Martha would come over and have Larry's tortilla soup, margaritas and an exciting game of ping pong. Since we were all so competitive we had to play all night.
Larry was so impressed with Martha for learning histology on the job. They had many conversations about special stains. Very scientific talk!
Martha, you are one in a life-time kind of friend. I am blessed to have known you.
Larry and I will see you on the other side. Rest in peace, friend.

Martha played softball for me back in the 80's and she was dedicated and competitive and always had a smile. Her spirit was great. Prayers for the family and may God give you peace.
