Mary Batto Obituary

BATTO
Mary Ann Batto, age 77, of Bandera, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2012, at her residence. She was born on September 5, 1935 in San Antonio to Fred and Corrine Theis Fisher.
She graduated from Incarnate Word High School, then attended Incarnate Word School of Nursing, where she earned her B.S. in Nursing. On October 9, 1957, she married Charles "Sonny" Batto, Jr. Mrs. Batto was a nurse in various facilities in San Antonio, and retired from Normandy Terrace after 21 years. She is survived by her husband Charles "Sonny" Batto of Bandera; daughter, Lydia Benedict and husband Jason of Pipe Creek; son, Larry Batto of Bandera; sister Kathy Greco and husband Sam of San Antonio; brother Bill Fisher and wife Annette of San Antonio; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. A rosary will be recited at 7 PM on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at Grimes Funeral Chapel in Bandera. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 13, 2012, at 10 AM at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Bandera with Father Stan Oleksy and Father Rob Ruhnke co-celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Stanislaus New Roman Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made in Mrs. Batto's name to a charity of your choice.
