Mary Brooks Obituary
Mary E. Brooks age 82 of San Antonio, died on Friday, May 16, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Sapopa Brooks; sister, Stella B. Cavalier; and brothers, Joe Brooks and Charles Brooks. Mary is survived by her nieces, Elva Sanchez, Martha Tobar, Diana Lozano, Angie Islas, and Carolyn Brooks; nephews, Charles Brooks and Florencio Montes. Visitation will begin on Tuesday, May 20, at 6:00 PM with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be offered on Wednesday, May 21, at 11:00 AM at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Fernando Archdiocesan Cemetery No. 2. Condolences may be sent to the Brooks family at www.theangelusfuneralhome.com. Arrangements by:

Mary, you will be missed by many of us! I always ladmired you, you were intelligent,strong, sweet, caring, very funny and true you thought of family and friends before yourself! I know your in heaven but, I thing God sent a limo for you because you were so special! So many persons waiting to reunite with you! I remember many Sunday's you would get together with, Sister James, Mary Galindo,Delfina Chavez (my Mom) and you. The outing was rather repetative I thought, my. mom would pickup all of you and went to Luby's at Las Palmas. It really was like a ritual. At Luby's all of you would have a dessert and coffee. Them all would go bus riding and return to Las Palmas! Then went back to Luby's, might as well you were already there, for a second treat and coffee! ILove you Mary, my wish is that there is a Luby's in heaven, so All the cousins could get together again! Thank for being the family historian! You'll be with many of us always! Esther

we visited you at the Angelus and you looked so peaceful and beautiful the lilac colored casket was a wonderful choice. The dress you made and wanted to wear looks so beautiful on you. I know you were with us as we sat near you and spoke of all our childhood memories and how you inspired us. We miss you but know that you are with all your heavenly family RIP

Mary was such a lovely lady!! She attended the 5PM mass at Holy Rosary for many years and all who attend this mass will miss her bright smile and cheerful words. She was truly a “classy lady” in every sense of the word. She was always more concerned for others than for herself. My mom and I went to see her in the hospital and even though Mary was so sick, she acted like she didn't have a care in the world. She was laughing with old friends from the neighborhood and seemed so at ease and at peace.
She trusted in God totally. Mary we are going to miss you!!!
