December 7, 1940 - September 30, 2025
Mary Blocker Lloyd Cover, age 84, left us to be with the Lord on September 30, 2025. She was born on December 7, 1940, in Uvalde, Texas to Bill and Aliene Blocker. She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Bill and Bobby Blocker. Mary is survived by her loving husband Rick Cover, children Lori Lloyd (Doby), Dale Lloyd (Dana), Rhodes Lloyd (Cassidy), her two granddaughters Casey Lloyd, Megan Taliaferro (Mason) and their girls Harley and Harper, her siblings June Whitney (Carter), Betty Thompson, Bogie Blocker (Helen), John Blocker (Kathy), and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary spent her young life playing basketball for East Central High School and even winning a district championship. Mary also became an incredible artist. She got her license as a massage therapist and had several celebrity clients that played for the San Antonio Spurs. Mary will be very much missed by her family but we know that she is now with Jesus!
The funeral will be held Saturday, October 11, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Cover Cemetery located at 709 New Sulpher Rd., San Antonio, Texas 78263
