Mary Leal Obituary

Mary S. Leal, born on April 15, 1926 in Piedras Negras, Mexico went to be with the Lord on September 5, 2005 in San Antonio, Texas. She was an active member in the Jacaranda and Los Americas Social Clubs. Mary was the kind of person who put others needs before her own. She will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Maria D. Garcia and Hipolito G. Ovalle. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Miguel Diaz Leal, Jr.; son, Michael A. Leal and wife Debra A. of San Antonio, TX; sisters, Alice Neira of San Antonio, TX, Josie Medina and husband Ray of San Antonio, TX, Margaret Navarro of San Antonio, TX, Stella Lopez and husband, David of San Antonio, TX; brothers, George Ovalle and wife, Dominga of San Antonio, TX, Richard Ovalle of San Antonio, TX, Paul Ovalle and wife, Sigi of Houston, TX, Guadalupe Ovalle of San Antonio, TX; granddaughter, Sarah Elizabeth Leal; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the care and compassion that Heartland Hospice provided . SERVICES Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 8, 2005 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, with a vigil at 7:00 PM at Mission Park Funeral Chapels North. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, September 9, 2005 at 9:00 AM at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 7400 Louis Pasteur, San Antonio, Texas 78229.
