Mildred Bernhardt Obituary

Mildred R. Bernhardt, age 85, passed away Saturday, December 28, 2002 in San Antonio, TX. Born October 16, 1917 in Cushing, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Bernhardt; brother, Robert H. Ross and sister, Carrie Baird. Mrs. Bernhardt, beloved mother is survived by her children, James P. and wife Kathryn Bernhardt, Frank S. Bernhardt, Billie L. Hudler; brother, William H. Ross; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Bernhardt will be greatly missed for her Christlike act of love and kindness she showed all her family and friends and was a caregiver to all who knew her. It was a great custom of hers to make and present quilts to her family for Christmas and to the newborns in the family, she was an accomplished seamstress. She is world famous for her Potato Salad, those who missed out will never know what they missed. Visitation will be held Monday, December 30, 2002 from 5:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Brookehill Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, December 31, 2002 at 11:00 A.M. with Interment to follow in San Jose Burial Park. Funeral Services entrusted to Brookehill Funeral Chapel.
