Muriel Morin Obituary

Muriel Gagne Morin, age 83, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully passed away on June 8, 2005. Born in Auburn, Maine, on November 9, 1921 to Joseph Gagne and Clairilda Malo, she has now ascended to her Heavenly Home. Muriel enjoyed being a member of the Altar Society at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, and her favorite pastime was quilting. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Norma Lafontaine. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Roy E. Morin, son of Fred P. Morin and Marie Alice Parent. Roy and Muriel wed on December 26, 1942 in Auburn, Maine. They settled in San Antonio in November, 1960. Other survivors include her children; son, Dr. Ronald R. Morin and wife Elizabeth of San Antonio, TX; son, Norman B. Morin and wife Jane of San Antonio, TX; daughter, Nancy G. Edgar and husband Jim of The Woodlands, TX. Muriel enjoyed the company of her seven grandchildren: Stacey, and husband Travis Griggs: Kristi, and husband Jeffrey McGovern, Courtney and husband Michael Gillogly, Alison Holmes, Natalie Morin, Katherine Morin, and David Morin. An 11:30 a.m. memorial service will be held on Friday, June 10, 2005, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Helotes, TX, with Rev. Jerry Pleva officiating. She wished to donate her body to the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio for the advancement of dental and medical study. The family would like to express their gratitude to her doctors, nurses, and the staff at the Methodist Hospital CICU for their loving care. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace with our Heavenly Father.
