Nancy Allin Obituary

July 23, 1935 - July 26, 2015
Nancy Jeanne Allin died peacefully on July 26, 2015 after a brief illness at the age of 80. Nancy was born on July 23, 1935 in Watertown, NY, to her parents, Dr. Willis and Margaret "Peg" Allin. She attended Saint Mary's Hall, Smith College and The University of Texas. She had a Masters Degree in Psychology and worked as a supervisory psychologist at Brooks AFB until her retirement. After she retired, she volunteered on Thursdays at The Green Door Thrift Shop, which is operated by the Women of St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Nancy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Peggy and Doug Carlyle of Tarpley, TX; her daughter, Jeanne Davis of San Antonio; her grandchildren Megan and Sarah Carlyle of Tarpley, Davis Allin Schwarz of Boerne and Margaret Schwarz of San Antonio. She is preceded in death by her parents. Although Nancy was an only child, she was the kind of person who made friends easily. The support and love of her friends during her illness was a testament to her. Nancy will be honored in a memorial service on August 10, 2015 at 10:30 am at St. David's Episcopal Church. Clergy from St. Luke's Episcopal Church will preside.
