NOREEN THERESA O'SULLIVAN
August 8, 1960 - July 20, 2024
Noreen O'Sullivan Morell, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dedicated friend, died unexpectedly on July 20, 2024, in San Antonio, TX.
She was born on August 8, 1960, in New York City, NY, the daughter of Kevin and Annie (Heagney) O'Sullivan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of nearly 35 years, Jerry Morell, brother Kerry O'Sullivan, sister Devon Knutsen (John), brothers-in-law Richard Morell (Jill), Julian Morell and Scott Johnson, and sisters-in-law Kathy O'Sullivan, and Donna Morell.
Noreen O'Sullivan was a graduate of Clarkstown High School North (class of 78) where she was on the color guard, Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania (class of 82), and UCLA MBA (class of 89). By age 24, she was a vice president and member at Gill Companies Commercial Real Estate and Marketing Department, where she met her husband, Jerry. She then started her own consultancy, RAC, after completing her MBA while simultaneously starting her young family. Her business acumen made her an excellent confidante and supporter of her husband Jerry throughout his career.
Noreen was a talented marathon runner. She participated in numerous marathons across the country including a top finish at the New York Marathon. She served as a track and field coach for many years and had great fondness for crossword puzzles and high heels. She loved watching the Yankees and visiting family at the beaches in North Carolina.
She was a bright woman of many talents, who held strong beliefs on her faith, politics and sports, and derived great pleasure from seeing her children and grandchildren gathered together.
She is survived by her sisters, Gael O'Sullivan and Erin O'Sullivan Jennings (Mark); stepbrother, George Sutton (Kristi); stepmother, Anne O'Sullivan; stepdaughter, Chelsey Morell Denny (Bryan); daughters Katie Morell-Grasmeyer (Matt), and Kelly Morell (Sebouh); sons, Tom Morell (Hannah), and Brian Morell. She is also survived by four grandchildren, John Denny, Billie Kate Grasmeyer, Alasdair Morell, and JJ Grasmeyer; as well as loving brothers-in-law Fr. Bill Morell, Martin Morell (Genevieve), and Michael Morell (Carolina); sisters-in-law, Mary Morell, Janie Morell-Hart (John) and Lucy Morell-Gengler (Dan), as well as thirty nieces and nephews.
We'll all miss her terribly, but we are comforted that she is now reunited with her beloved husband.
