Pedro Martinez Obituary
Pedro E. Martinez ("Pete"), born on August 20, 1967, in San Antonio, Texas, passed away surrounded by family and loved ones on February 11, 2010, at the age of 42. Pete fought a brave battle against cancer. He worked as a warranty administrator at a local car dealership. Pete was a 1985 Harlandale High School graduate. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Irene Campa Martinez; mother, Elena Martinez; four sisters, Graciela Herrera, Maria Martinez, Melinda Tokmehdash (Davood), and Delia Willborn (Anthony); three brothers, Rolando Martinez (Alma), Robert Martinez (Imelda), and Mark Martinez (Lisa); seven nieces, including goddaughter Adrianna Lorraine Martinez; seven nephews; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Santiago and Maria Campa of Elmendorf; five brothers-in-law; three sisters-in-law; and a large extended family. Pete is preceded in death by his father, Pedro B. Martinez; and grandmother, Maria Enriquez. He was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend. Pete will be missed, but we know he is in a better place.
SERVICES
Visitation at Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels, 14315 Judson Road in San Antonio, will be held Saturday, February 13, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Monday, February 15, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Rosary will be read at 6 p.m. Monday, February 15, at Puente and Sons Funeral Chapels. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, at St. John Berchmans Catholic Church, 1147 Cupples Road in San Antonio, with interment at San Jose Cemetery.

Hey Uncle Pete, I still wonder how it is in heaven. Now I am in college at the University of Texas at El Paso but I know you know that. This semester I am taking sixteen hours and it is starting to be a lot of work but I know how proud you would be of me so I continue to work hard and do my best. To the whole Martinez family,I am speaking of behalf of the Coultress family. My grandfather Joe Coultres owned Southcross Molino,and thats where Pete,Robert and Mark worked back in the day,those were some goodtimes. Pete was quite the quiet one,but very kind,respective and a very very hard worker. Pete is the bravest and most courageous person I know. He fought the cancer head-on and never questioned, "Why me?". Pete grew closer to God and brought the rest of the family with him. Pete's spiritual strength saved many souls. I love you my brother.

Seems like yesterday I remember when Pete was born,just a few weeks before our daughter Laura was born. We have many fond memories of Pete being Tia Louisa's(my mother),favorite nephew and she was so proud of Pete and Irene. They would always visit her. Pete was such a family man and a real gentleman.
