Beginning in 1976 he was asked to serve as principal of Colegio San Jose in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico. After 10 years as principal, he was invited by the Archbishop of San Antonio to become the Superintendent of Catholic Schools for the Archdiocese of San Antonio and the Diocese of Victoria, TX, a position he held until June 1996.
In October 1996, Bro. Peter was appointed to an initial five-year term as Secretary General of the Society of Mary. In 2001 has was reappointed for an additional five-year term. From 2009 until 2012 he served as President of Central Catholic H.S. in San Antonio, TX.
In 2012 he moved to Hollywood, FL to serve in many capacities at Chaminade-Madonna H.S. Beginning in 2020 he moved back to San Antonio, TX and became a resident at the Marianist Residence until his passing on April 12.

Peter was my classmate at Chaminade, Always helpful and reverent but a great social companion. During the last 10 years we have been in touch via social media. I'll miss our virtual conversations and hope I'll be lucky enough to see him again eventually.

Our deepest condolences to the family and his Godson Ferdinand and wife Shelda. Br. Peter was an exemplary asset to the Archdiocese of San Antonio's education system. As a former school board member, his insight and priority for our children was always of great importance to him. You are in our thoughts and prayers. May you rest in peace.

Br. Peter contributed insight and leadership to the work of NCEA representing Catholic education regionally and nationally across many years. He brought his rich Italian heritage to the both the meeting and hospitality tables. It was a privilege to work with him.
