Raymundo Garcia Sr.

Raymundo Garcia Sr., passed into eternal life to be with his wife of 54 years, Benita C. Garcia, who passed away on July 31, 2002 and into the arms of our Savior Jesus Christ on November 22, 2002. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Raymundo Jr. and Angelita E. Garcia; brothers, Bonifacio and Herman Garcia; great-grandchildren, Adina Rose and Marina Elise Gonzalez, Cecily and Isabela Bize, Zachary, Quintin, and Emily Gallegos, and Cesar Realme; also his devoted pet, Muffy. Mr. Garcia was employed at Ft. Sam Houston and Kelly A.F.B. for 34 years. He also served in the Texas 36th Infantry Division during WWII. Mr. Garcia was awarded the ETO Medal with two campaign stars, spearhead for invasion of France, Good Conduct Medal, and Combat Infantry Badge. Visitation will begin Sunday, 6:00 P.M. at the Trevino Funeral Home. A Prayer Service will be conducted Monday, 7:00 P.M. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at 8:45 A.M. at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery under the direction of Trevino Cupples Funeral Home.
