Robert Alanis Obituary

Robert Alanis born October 30, 1944 in Floresville, TX went to be with the Lord on August 8, 2007 at the age of 62. Robert served his country in the United States Air Force. After completing training he served as a Jet Engine Chief in Trenton, N.J. He went to Turkey on an assignment. Robert later retired from Civil Service. Helping others was his first priority. His hobbies included the study of airplanes, rockets, and other mechanical devices. He is preceded in death by his parents Perfecto and Elia T. Alanis. Survivors include his sisters Mary Lou Chapa, Rudy, Olga Salinas, Henry, Stella Feliz, Harold, and life long friend Margaret Schultz, numerous nieces, nephews, and other loving family members and friends. The family request donations to the American Cancer Society in lieu of flowers. P.O. Box 291048 S.A. TX 78229-1648. SERVICES Visitation will begin on Sunday, August 12, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Mission Park Funeral Chapels South. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Leo's Catholic Church on Monday, August 13, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. with a procession from the funeral home. Interment will follow at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery. Arrangements with: Mission Park Funeral Chapels South.

Robert & I became friends when he was the young man in the picture next to his obituary. I do not know what happened to that young man over the next (30) years; I only recall the young man with dreams and goals who loved God and his family.
