Robert Koch Obituary

July 31, 1941 - April 19, 2015
Robert R. Koch Jr. 73 passed away April 19, 2015. Born July 31, 1941 to Robert R. Koch Sr. and Mary Bailey Koch. Robert is Survived by wife Shirley J. Koch, Brother J. Thomas Koch and wife Sharon; Daughters Samantha Hamilton, Lyn Bloom and husband Jeff. Seven Grandchildren, a Niece and a Nephew, and numerous Great Grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by sons David Koch & Bill Bacon. Robert retired as a SMSgt after 27 honorable years in the United States Air Force, soon after becoming a civilian contractor for several more years then a School bus driver for the N.I.S.D. As a member of the VFW Post 9174 and the Joseph A. Kemp Masonic Lodge No. 1287, he worked tirelessly promoting various causes and charities. He will be missed. Visitation will be held at Castle Ridge Mortuary Wednesday April 29, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. with a memorial service at 12:00 p.m., followed by inurnment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1:45 p.m. Please forward any donations to the VFW 9174 2410 Pinn Rd. Bob Koch you were a good man, and God needed a good man. I will miss your infectious laugh. You always made me feel welcome at the VFW 9174. You have now made your journey, and those of us left behind must do the same. God bless you Bob Koch and your family waiting to join you.
