July 28, 1921 - May 9, 2018
Robert Adolph Martinez, born on July 28, 1921 in San Antonio, TX went to be with the Lord on May 9, 2018 at the age of 96. He was a WW II U.S. Army Veteran and served in the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Dennis Gane; son, Robert A. Martinez Jr.; step children, Delfina Proctor, James Longoria, Arnold Longoria and Sandra Green; granddaughters, Regina Martinez and Carrie May Gane; grandson, Brian Douglas Gane; also, a nephew, nieces and other relatives. The Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Thursday, May 31, 2018 followed by a Chapel Service at 10:30 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Trevino, 226 Cupples Rd. A procession will depart the funeral home at 2:00 p.m. for interment at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to VFW Post #1533, 107 Elm Hurst, San Antonio, TX.
