Robert Spikes Obituary
Robert Ryan Spikes age 16, passed away with three of his closest friends due to a tragic accident on Tuesday, April 13, 2010. Robert was born July 6, 1993, to Robert Don Spikes and Deborah Lisa Spikes in San Antonio, Texas. Robert Ryan attended Champion High School and recently transferred to Lee High School. He was a loving, caring, bright young man. He enjoyed skate boarding, football and playing on his play station 3. Robert Ryan always talked of a career in law enforcement. Robert Ryan was blessed to be able to help five Texas families through the organ donation program. He was survived by his father, mother and two sisters, Kristen Marie Willtrout-Spikes and Brittany Michelle Spikes; grandparents, Eddie and Linda Farias of Houston, TX, Rick and Mary Roman of San Antonio, Texas and Vick and Hilda Vickers of Alabama; uncles, Edward Daniel Farias, Daniel Edward Farias; aunts, Mary Catherine Farias and Amy Ratcliff; cousins, Talea and Keith Tootle, Daniel and Travis Farias; nephew Jacob Hernandez; nieces Justice and Joslyn Hernandez and Lily Anne Sheffield-Spikes. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2010 from 12:00 noon till 6:00 P.M. at Vaughan's Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, April 18, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Boerne. Interment will follow at the Mission Park North Cemetery. To family and friends of Mr. Robert Spikes... May the Lord continue to bless each one of you in this time of need. Never put a question mark where there is a period. There was an empty space in the garden and it's now filled with a rose called Robert. Continue to pray and remember God answeres prayers.

Dear Ryan's family...It pains me to think of him gone but warms my heart to know that he was able to help others through his donations. I saw on facebook that a woman saw them at the skatepark on that day...she said that they were laughing and having a wonderful time skating together being teenagers. I am truly sorry for your lost but so very grateful for the donation your family has given to someone else. I almost lost my daughter 2 years at the age of 15th,but through organ donation she is alive and well today and it takes special families like yourself to give where a gift is so desparately needed. GOD bless you and your precious family.

I also did not know this precious young man, I suppose one doesn't have to know them to feel the pain.Just want to say ..They were very close friends in life as they still are as they sit by our Savior as one of his flock.A hurt so big One can't imagine..But Our Lord wont Leave Your Side..Your babies will always be by your side..Looking out for you from up above.They were so beautiful all of them.God Bless You At This TIme Of Sorrow..My Deepest Condolenses To All The Families.Our Angels Now..Robert..Marcus..Micah..Kasey.
