Rogelio Morin Obituary

Rogelio R. Morin, age 62, died Sunday, November 7, 2004 in Hobbs, NM. He was born September 10, 1942 in Melvin, TX. He married Olga Camargo of Brady, TX. He was raised in San Antonio, TX and Brady, TX. After the death of his wife and retiring from the U.S. Air Force with over 20 years of service, he lived in Austin, TX and Temple, TX. For the last 12 years, he resided in Hobbs, NM. He had a great love for his grandchildren and enjoyed doing things with them. He also loved spending time doing woodwork and arts and crafts and traveled extensively with a long time friend. He was preceded in death by his wife, Olga Morin; his parents, Bonifacio and Juanita Morin and a brother, Arturo Morin. Survivors include his two daughters, Denise and husband Tony Piñon of Temple, TX, Bernice and husband Jimmy Hinojos of Hobbs, NM; two brothers, Cruz Morin of Orange, CA, Venustiano Morin of Chula Vista, CA; two sisters, Angie M. Calderon and Rosie Morin-Moran, both of San Antonio, TX; four granddaughters, three step-grandsons, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. All those who knew him will miss him. He was always giving and loving to everyone he met. He never met a stranger, many will miss him. A Rosary will be recited at 6:00 P.M., Sunday, November 14, 2004 at Trevino Funeral Home, 226 Cupples Rd. A Prayer Service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 15, 2004 at Trevino Funeral Home Chapel. A Memorial Service and Burial will follow at 11:15 A.M. at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. Local arrangements are under the care of Trevino Funeral Home.
