Ronald Byrom Obituary
Ronald Frederick Byrom was born on August 15, 1950 in San Antonio, Texas. He was born to Daniel Frederick Byrom and Joyce Marie Byrom and was a long-time resident of Von Ormy, Texas. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Patricia Byrom, his three children, Daniel F. Byrom & his wife Wanda, Beth Porter & her husband Greggery, and Tony Byrom, his stepson, Allan Graham and wife Dianne, eleven grandchildren, his brother, Keith Byrom and his wife Cheri, and his sister, Danna Byrom. His funeral service will be held on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Somerset Baptist Church, 19961 Somerset Road, Somerset, TX 78069. Arrangements are with Heart of Texas' Cremation San Antonio.

Ron and I were classmates while attending Texas A&I University in Kingsville. At that time I was a Drama major. Ron was one of the many young fun loving characters that graced those halls! After rehearsals,many times we'd gather at someone'shouse and Ron,Jim Stanley and my then boyfriend David Gilliam would eat, drink and be merry till the wee hours in the morning. We all had SO much fun together. It was a wonderful time for all of us andan honor to have called him a friend. My heartfelt sympathies to all family members who found him so dear.

Life took us in different directions but my memories of Ron Byrom remain vivid:
Pitching to Ronnie as my catcher in little league at Kite Field; becoming good friends during times with sister, Danna, my high school sweetheart; philosophical exchanges while listening to Doors albums; a semester at Texas A&I as roomates; our kangaroo court appearance in Selma, Tx.
I am honored and thankful to have had him as my friend. He was a person with a big heart and a kind soul. He was quick to laugh, adventuresome and staunchly honest. Really good guy.
My condolences to Danna and Keith. Your family has been and always will be special to me.
