Rose Marie Peschke, age 82, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of creativity, kindness, and love. She was born on August 6, 1943 to Lloyd and Bennola Broom. She was raised on a farm near San Antonio, Texas, Rose Marie's early years instilled in her a lifelong appreciation for nature, hard work, and the beauty in everyday life. Her rural upbringing shaped her gentle spirit and fueled her creative passion, which blossomed into a remarkable career as an artist.
Rose Marie's talent and dedication found expression through her published works, many of which have been displayed at the esteemed River Art Group Gallery. As an active and valued member of the River Art Group, Rose Marie fostered connections with fellow artists and contributed to the vibrant San Antonio art community.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and husband, Thomas "Ed" Peschke; whose memories she carried close to her heart. Rose Marie is lovingly remembered by her two sons, Corey Grant Peschke (Georgie), Jason Eric Peschke, granddaughter, Baylee Herrington, brother, Leo Broom and wife Margie.
Rose Marie will be deeply missed, but her spirit endures in the art she created, the lives she touched, and the family she loved. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty she so dearly treasured.
A Visitation will be held at 9AM on Thursday, October 16, 2025 with a Funeral Service to follow at 1PM at Vinyard Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
