Ruth Elley Obituary

Ruth J. Elley, age 78, of San Antonio passed away Monday, March 4, 2002. She was born December 12, 1923 in San Antonio, TX to Henry Johnson and Florence Martinez Johnson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Wilburn Elley, Sr. Mrs. Elley and her husband were very active in the Institute of Texan Cultures for many years. Survivors are her son, William Wilburn Elley, Jr.; daughter, Jackie Singsaas and her husband Bruce; grandchildren, Roxanne and Elliot Singsaas; niece, Nancy Locklear and her husband Bill; nephew, Bud Loehman and his wife Marcy; great-nieces and nephew, Christy and Scott Parkhurst, Virginia Wilson and husband Will Sampson, Jill and Ricky Smith and Reid Loehman; great-great-nieces and nephew, Megan and Savannah Parkhurst, Kira and James Sampson and Lindsey Smith; sister, Mary Loehman. Visitation will be held Friday, March 8, 2002 at Roy Akers Funeral Chapels from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. Graveside Service will be held Saturday, March 9, 2002 at 10:30 A.M. at the San Jose Burial Park. Roy Akers Funeral Chapels
