While I never met Samual personally, I always remember his mother Stephanie speaking highly of how she was so proud of Sams accomplishments. Stephanie I am not sure if you remember me but we used to work together at La Madeleine at North Star Mall many years ago with our friend Darcie. I just saw the show that aired on cable about your son's case and I although I know its years late, I just wanted to say my dearest condolonces to you and your family on your sons passing. I like you lost a son as well. Feel free to email me at [email protected] or on FB Marcus R. Tinajero. I remember you and your family with much affection and christian care. Take care friend, please if you have a few, it would be an honor to reconnect. God Bless!

Sam, you where a great person and you always found a way to visit our home. We will miss those moments, but you will always be in my heart and soul. We known you since middle school at Mark Twain. You went to school there with our daugther Rocky. Every time you came you would call me Popop and my wife Mom. We will see you again. God Bless you and your family.
SAM MY MAN.

I met Samuel a while ago, and I knew that he was a kind and caring person. It saddens me to know that he no longer walks on this earth, because he was such an innocent man. I pray for his family because I know he is in a better place. May God keep you in everything that you do! I love you! (Alexis-Denver)

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Samuel Allen Johnson Jr., was truly one of a kind and a great man. I had the pleasure to meet him at St. Mary's University and then again when we worked together at the Antioch Sports Complex and Community Center. He was really a great person full of fun and excitement, not to mention his extensive workout plan. He was my brother and my friend. We WILL miss him dearly and WILL love him always. Sam, my heart is aching every day for you. I miss you and love you more than you can ever know. You were the greatest man I will ever know, and my deepest regret is not always telling you just how much you meant to me. I know you are with God now, and my grandpa, and I hope to see you again. I know that when I do, my heart will be whole again. Until then, I will always miss you and know that a part of me is missing.
To his family; I reach my heart out to you and send all my love.

May he rest in peace and know that he is always thought of.

xoxox,

You're still here in my heart and mind,
still making me laugh cause your stories live on.
I hold you in a thought and I can feel you.
I feel you and this gives me strength and courage.
The tears I have cried for you could flood the earth
and I know you have wiped each one away.
For you Brother, I promise you this,
I will go on with my life and make you proud. I will always hold you in my heart.
I promise you I will be missing you everyday till the end of time,
but this is not my end and I can't hold my head underwater....I need to breathe.
I need to love and miss you, but I also need to live because through me you will live,
you will still laugh and love,
you will still sing and dance,
you will still hug and kiss.
You will forever be in our lives,
you will forever be a brother,
a son,a father
an uncle
and friend.
I am going to miss your shining face
I think of you and wonder why?
I might cry or smile,
but at the end of the day I am one day closer to you....
