Sandra Mangione Obituary

Sandra Isaacs Mangione went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 12, 2004. Sandra was born on January 15, 1944, in San Antonio, TX, where she attended St. Henry Parochial School and Providence High School. A lover of travel, she spent many years in New York; England, UK; Provo, UT; the Dallas, TX area; and most recently - Las Vegas, NV. Sandra was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints and had faithfully served two missions in Florida and in Illinois. She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar H. Isaacs. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy G. Isaacs; children, Scott Mangione, Michael and wife Donna Mangione, Tammy and husband Todd Tessier; father of the children, Joseph T. Mangione; sister, Sharon and husband L. Wayne Parker; brother Clifford and wife Katie Isaacs. She was devoted to her six grandchildren: Michael, Kortney, Kyle, Jacob, Connor, and Tony; nieces, nephews, and the many members of her extended family. She spent many years helping in the care of her grandchildren; especially Kyle, Jacob, Connor, and Tony. That loving care was returned by Tammy and her family in Sandra's final illness. Her enthusiasm was contagious, her love of knowledge was shared, her travels always brought her home to Texas, and her ever-present Faith in her God helps us all at this time of loss. A source of much joy for all of us, she was loved by all. A Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at Oak Crest Funeral Home, 4520 Bosque Blvd., Waco, TX 76710, 254-772-5272 and Burial will follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery at 2124 S. 5th St. and La Salle Blvd., Waco, TX.
